Information We Collect

Tasabeh app does not collect or store any personal information such as:

• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Address

The app does not require account creation or login.

Location Usage

The app requests permission to access the device location in order to:

• Calculate prayer times for your location
• Determine the Qibla direction
• Identify your city and country to select the appropriate calculation method

To provide these features, your location coordinates (latitude and longitude) are sent to two third-party services:

• Aladhan API (api.aladhan.com) — to calculate prayer times and the Hijri date.
• Nominatim / OpenStreetMap (nominatim.openstreetmap.org) — to convert coordinates into a city and country name.

The coordinates are sent on their own, without any personal identifier, and you have no account or profile with us. These services are governed by their own privacy policies.

Your last known location is stored temporarily on your device so prayer times and Qibla features can work without requesting location every time. After 30 days, the app stops relying on that temporary location and requests a current location when needed. The coordinates used for the last successful notification schedule may remain stored locally to manage prayer times and notifications until they are replaced by a newer schedule or you clear the app data in system settings. This data is not sent to any server operated by us.

Local Storage

The app stores the following data on your device:

• App settings and selected language
• Notification settings and adhan sound
• Tasbih and counter data
• Reading data (book names, positions, targets, and logs)
• Temporary location, last scheduling coordinates, and scheduled prayer times

This data is not uploaded to any server of ours. It may be included in Google's automatic backup if that feature is enabled on your device.

External Services

The app relies on the following services:

• Aladhan API — prayer times and Hijri date conversion; receives your coordinates and the date.
• Nominatim (OpenStreetMap) — determines your city and country from your coordinates.
• Firebase Hosting (tasabeh-azkar.web.app) — downloads updated azkar and hadith content; receives your device's IP address as a normal part of any internet request.

The app contains no advertising, tracking, or analytics tools.

Children

The app's content is suitable for all ages, but it is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from them.
